First Day of School
This has been an incredibly short Summer. The older Sadie gets, it seems the shorter the Summer gets. Anyway, I can't believe she's in 5th grade. Every year on the first day of school, I think of all the previous "first days". She's an old pro these days and the anticipation is not quite what it used to be (for her, anyway) but she still humors me and poses for pictures. I have one from every year except 1st grade, which is quite a feat considering I've had 2 hard drive crashes since then. (If any of my lovely family has a copy of the 1st grade picture, could you please send it to me??) So, here's to reminiscing.

5th grade spurt has obviously kicked in. I'm sure I have the first grade photo. I'll look for it tomorrow, because we just got back from our weekend.
How is school this year, Sadie?
As she was walking into school on the first day, she looked so much taller and older than the 4th graders!
I hope you had a nice trip!
I'll have Sadie call you soon to tell you about school. So far, so good!
