Today was field day at Sadie's school. Actually, it was supposed to be Friday, but since we got 3 inches of rain the day before it was moved to today. Wise move. I volunteered to work and was assigned the 25-yard dash which meant I got to yell "ready, set, go" for 3 straight hours. Anyway, Sadie talked me into taking her home when it was over (at 11:00) because I am a major pushover. We went and got lunch and came home to eat with Dad who had been painting the garage door and then off to the pool. We pretty much had the place to ourselves
